This piece is the first piece created as part of my Islet cell project. I completed this piece in response to a visit to Oxford University who allowed me to study Islet Cells. These are the cells within the pancreas that are responsible for blood sugar levels. This impacts our daily lives as my daughter is Type 1 Diabetic. My latest body of work aims to raise awareness of this debilitating disease.
